Abizanda is an interesting village with a defensive tower lying north of Barbastro. The watchtower dates from the 11th Century and was one of several that relayed messages to each other in the valey. At the top of the tower is a platform with great views. There are sometimes exhibitions in the building and nearby is a museum with displays about the local religious customs.
