The Albacete Provincial Museum is housed in a modern building and contains a fine arts museum and an archaeological section. There are displays from local archaeological sites. These include Iberian sculptures such as the sphink from Hades and Roman mosaics. The most precious exhibit is a collection of Roman dolls found in a 4th Century burial ground in the mid 20th Century. The dolls have movable joints and are made of ivory and amber.
