Alella lies in a sunny location below hills and it has an excellent reputation for its fine wines which include whites, reds and roses as well as sparkling wines. Be sure to visit the Vine Cooperatives centre. Antoni Gaudi used to visit here and intended to build a chapel. One of his drawings can be seen in the Church of Sant Feliu. Little remains of the original Romanesque church which now has a Renaissance facade.
