Altafulla is an attractive, seaside fishing village near to the banks of the River Gaia. It has fine beaches and there is a medieval castle and an old town hall. The Church of Sant Marti is in the Baroque style and some sections of the old town walls survive. There are also interesting places nearby, including the Roman Villa of Els Munts.
