Altea is located in a wide bay and there are several beaches and tiny coves. Near the yacht marina is the beach of Cap Blanch which is about half a mile long and it has a lifeguard. Next to it is another beach which is accessible to those with reduced mobility. This beach also has a lifeguard and there is a seafront promenade and a Red Cross point.
