Housed in a building remaining from the 1929 World Exhibition, the Archaeology Museum is located on the slopes of the Montjuic hill. In the museum are items uncovered in Catalonia, including prehistoric tools and skulls. In one of the rooms dedicated to the Balearic Islands is the 4th Century sculpture known as the Dama de Ibiza, discovered in the Carthaginian necropolis. Other exhibits include material from Empuries and Roman objects found in Barcelona.
