Barbastro Cathedral is an elegant building with three aisles and richy ornamented vaulting supported by fluted columns. The cathedral is on the site of a former mosque and dates from the early 16th Century. The main treasure of the church is the 16th Century retablo of alabaster and polychrome wood by Damien Forment. Some of the side chapels are in the Churrigueresque style and one has a rococo carved dome.
