The Barranco del Teide is a steep sided ravine with a stream that has its source in the El Teide National Park. A walk can be taken through the dramatic canyon, rising almost 1000 feet to a 250 foot waterfall on three levels. The scenery is dramatic and you pass through different types of vegetation along the way. There is an entrance fee to enter the gorge and as numbers are limited it is advisable to book at least one day in advance.
