The Church of Saint Mary of the Sea is located in the city`s maritime district. This beautiful building was built in the 14th Century in the Catalan Gothic style. The church has two towers and inside is a wide nave, high aisles with tall columns and lovely stained glass, including a rose window. The side chapels were damaged during the Spanish Civil War, but the resulting bareness adds to the sense of simplicity and spaciousness.
