The Church of Asuncion y Angela is a spectacular building that was converted from a mosque. Standing among palm trees, it looks very attractive with its narrow spire. Over forty marble columns are retained from the original building. The present construction dates from the 15th Century and inside are five naves and an 18th Century red marble altarpiece by Melchar de Aguirre.
