Canillas de Albaida is a small village near Competa. There are two interesting churches including the Hermitage of San Anton in the lower part of the village. Higher up is the Hermitage of Santa Ana which dates from the 16th Century. The building consists of one nave with a barrel vault. From Canillas de Albaida it is possible to take several walks in the Natural Park de las Sierra Almijara where you may spot wildlife such as eagles and mountain goats.
