Alquezar is a canyoning mecca and the area`s most famous canyon is Canon del Vero. This spectacular canyon is quite wide and not considered difficult, although it takes six hours to descend. Most times of the year you may get wet by having to wade or swim. Many vultures can be seen in the canyon. In high summer there is a bus from Alquezar but you can see some of the canyon by taking a walk of one hour to Villacantal bridge.
