Casa Alpujarrera is a folk museum in a large house with displays about life in La Alpujarras, covering the architecture, folk customs and everyday life in this remote area of Andalucia. Some of the old farming tools are still in use. The pretty village is situated at around 4000 feet abve sea level on the side of the Barroque de Poqueira ravine, and it s a good base for walks.
