Built by Antoni Gaudi between 1906 and 1910, Casa Mila is also known as La Pedera - The Stone Quarry. This extraordinary corner apartment block is eight storeys high, and has wrought iron balconies but no straight lines at all. The Mila family lived on the first floor. On the top floor is the Gaudi Museum housing visual displays about his work, and his methods. Guided tours take in the roof, which is adorned with strangely shaped air ducts and chimneys.
