Castell de Sant Nicolau is a 17th Century defence tower on a headland. It has a drawbridge, moat and turrets. The building is now used for temporary exhibitions. It is a favourite place to visit in the evenings to watch the sun set beyond the silhouetted mountains of Mallorca. Nearby is a statue of David Glasgow Farragut who emigrated to America in the 18th Century and became an admiral of the US fleet.
