Castelldefels Castle stands on a hill overlooking the Garrif hills and Barcelona. From the summit are magnificent views. The fortress was restored in the medieval style during the 19th Century by Manuel Girona. It is best approached through the castle park with its pine trees. The castle`s chapel was built in the Romanesque style and it is a designated building of artistic interest. There are remains from the 10th Century and some Neo-classical decorative features by Francisco Rodriguez.
