The Cuevas del Aguila are impressive caves which were formed over three million years ago. They are located in a large area of limestone rock in the Sierra de Gredos. Discovered in 1963, they were opened to the public one year later. Inside the Great Chamber visitors can see fantastic formations of stalactites. It is advisable to wear warm clothing and sturdy footwear in the caves.
