Ceuta Municipal Museum is housed in a splendid Neo-classical building that dates from the early 20th Century. The archaeolgical exhibits are displayed in five rooms and the artefacts date from prehistoric times. There are also objects that belong to the Roman, Medieval and Moorish eras. Visitors can see a white marble Roman sarcophagus, a collection of Punic and Roman amphorae, coins, ancient weapons and various ceramic pieces.
