The Iglesia de los Padres Franciscanos dates from the 12th Century and it has an attractive, Romanesque facade with an elegant doorway and a bell tower. Inside is a chapel and the tomb of Don Pedro Menendez who was the first governor of Florida in the USA. Concerts are sometimes held in the courtyard of the church. Nearby is the Capillo de los Alas which has been built in the Gothic style.
