Church of Sant Andreu

Orrius lies in a valley in the hills of the Costa del Maresme and in its centre stands the 16th Century Church of Sant Andreu. It was built in the Gothic style but inside there is a small Romanesque chapel from an earlier church. The bell tower dates from the early 19th Century. In 1981 some coins were found in the church which date from the time of Berenguer Ramon 11 who was the Count of Barcelona in the late 11th Century.
