Church of Sant Pere

In the centre of Begur stands the Eglesia Parroquial de Sant Pere which has a Gothic interior. It was also renovated in the late 20th Century. The building dates from the 17th Century and in a side chapel is an albaster statue of the Madonna and Child, created by Francesco Fajula in 1985. Also of interest is the elaborate altarpiece which shows St Peter holding the keys to heaven.
