The Church of Sant Vicenc is the parish church for the little town of Besalu. It was founded in AD 977 by the Count Bishop Miro and is mainly of Romanesque construction. There are interesting Gothic elements, including a rose window as well as a side chapel dedicated to the True Cross and the tomb of Pere de Rovira who, in 1413, brought Sant Vicenc`s relics to Besalu. The church also as an image of Virgin dels Dolores, patron saint of Besalu.
