The Iglesia de Santa Maria is located in the highest part of the old city of A Coruna. It is the old Collegiate church built by the Guild of Seafarers. Dating from the 12th Century, it is a Romanesque church with three naves. The doorway is 13th and 14th Century, and there is a lovely Gothic rose window. The building is classified as a Historical and Artistic Monument. Beside it is the Museum of Holy Art.
