The Circulo Industrial is one of the fine Modernista buildings that can still be seen in Alcoy. Built in 1868, it was one of the earliest to be designed for the town. Made famous by Gaudi, Modernista architecture has flowing lines and uses ceramics in a new way. Circulo Industrial boasts exceptional ironwork and in the rooms are interesting ceramics. It was built as a cultural centre and still holds art exhibitions.
