This intriguing museum occupies the medieval mansion Casa Clarana-Padellas which was moved from its original site in 1931 and rebuilt stone by stone. During the excavation of the museum`s site, a Roman town was discovered and the extensive subterranean remains can now be viewed by descending underground. Roman streets, homes, baths, laundries and mosaic floors have been uncovered. There is also a short stretch of Roman wall. Post-Roman exhibits are on display on the upper floor of the museum.
