The Torre de Collserola is a telecommunications tower located near the mountain of Tibidabo. It stands over 900 feet high and is made of tubular steel on a concrete pillar. A glass sided lift whisks visitors to an observation platform from where there are panoramic views of Tibidabo and the city. The tower was designed by British architect Norman Foster in the 1980s to enable television viewers around the world to see the 1992 Olympic Games.
