The Corral de Comedias Theatre dates back to the 17th Century when it was a tavern as well as a theatre. It is an open air auditorium with wooden porticos, seating two hundred people. The theatre is unique in Spain and since 1955 it has been a National Monument. Dramatic performances are held here every summer as part of the International Festival of Classical Theatre.
