Partly surrounded by medieval ramparts, Covarrubies is a small, historic village with half timbered houses. In the collegiato church is the tomb of Fernan Gondez, an important figure in Catilian history. Other medieval tombs can be seen in the pantheon. In the church museum are many treasures, including a Flemish triptych of the Adoration of the Magi and a painting by Van Eyck.
