Francois Darder of Barcelona`s Zoological Park founded this Museum of Natural Sciences in 1916. It has recently been refurbished and the old museum is now in the basement. Here you will find a room dedicated to the founder and other rooms with collections of invertebrates, reptiles, birds and mammals whilst one room is devoted to humans and contains skulls. On the first floor is an exhibition about the heritage and natural sciences of Banyoles Lake.
