The Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art is housed in the former Convento de la Encarnacion. The convent was founded by Dominican nuns in the early 16th Century. It opened as a museum in 1995 to display religious art. Amongst the collections are religious silverware, 12th to 15th Century sculptures of the Virgin and Child, paintings, alabaster, ceramics and ancient vestments. The items on display range from the Romanesque to present times.
