This lovely park with its greenery provides a welcome break from the bustle of the city. It was created in the early 20th Century and is said to have been modelled on parks in France. There are many varieties of trees and also a pond with different kinds of ducks. The park has a fountain and an attractive colonnade. Concerts are held here in the summer months and the park is popular with families, especially at weekends.
