El Masnou is an old seafaring town which boasts a good urban beach which is about two miles long and it is composed of fine white sand. There are lifeguards and first aid posts. Hammocks and sunshades can be hired and showers are available. There are bars and restaurants nearby. The resort has a sailing school and a windsurfing school. There is also a fine marina and a seafront promenade.
