Surrounded by fields, El Palmar is a pleasant village with three miles of white, sandy beach. The beach is very relaxing but it is somewhat windswept. It is popular for surfing and there are surfing schools here where you can hire boards. Lessons and instruction are also available. There are also several restaurants serving seafood and some are in lovely locations overlooking the sea.
