Playa del Postiguet is a popular beach lying near Alicante`s city centre and below Castillo Santa Barbara. Backed by a palm lined avenue, it is composed of fine, golden sand and is almost one kilometre long. The beach has excellent facilities, including lifeguard watchtowers, a first aid post and easy access for the disabled. Parasols can be hired and refreshments are available. Parking is nearby and the beach can be reached by bus and tram.
