Espejo is an attractive place with white houses and a castle which dates from the early 14th Century. It was a settlement before the building of the present castle and it has been occupied by the Iberians, Romans and Moors. The castle can usually be visited and nearby is the Church of San Bartolome with its brick tower. Inside is a fine Mudejar ceiling.
