The Museo de Bellas Artes houses an impressive collection of well displayed art from the 12th Century to modern art. As well as Spanish paintings, there are works by Flemish, Italian and French artists, including Van Dyck and Gaugin. Goya, El Greco, Velazquez, Rivera and Zurbaran are well represented and several rooms are devoted to Basque artists. The museum also contains works by modern international artists such as Bacon, Kokoschka and Delaunay.
