The Fragas do Deume Naural Park is a fantastic, Atlantic forest on the steep banks of the River Eume. Composed of oak and chestnut trees with some strawberry, laurel and holy trees with many ferns, it has the atmosphere of a jungle. The eagle owl is resident here. Access is by road from Pontadeume to Ombre and Monfero. Walks can be taken to Caaveiro and Rebordelo.
