Garrucha is a fishing port known for its red prawns and beside its harbour are several good seafood restaurants. There is a Blue Flag beach close to the town and several other sandy beaches that can be reached from the long promenade with its palm trees. There are plenty of places where you can sit to watch the sunset and an area for children to play. Garrucha also has a marina.
