The Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau is an extraordinary 20th Century hospital designed by Domenech i Montaner. The hospital was started in 1902 and, after the architect`s death in 1923, the building was completed in 1930 by his son Pere. The hospital consists of Mudejar pavilions in gardens and the pavilions are linked by underground passages. The buildings are decorated with turreted roofs and ceramic tiles whilst in the reception are mosaics.
