Ibi has a long toy making tradition. One of the main manufactures was the family of Payo who made tin toys in the early 20th Century. By the 1930s they employed five hundred people. One member of the family travelled abroad in the search for ideas and brought back samples. They grew inro a large, valuable collection which is now on display. There are over four hundred exhibits including model aeroplanes, train sets and tiny tea sets.
