The Church of Senora de La Asuncion is a late Gothic 15th Century building built on the site of an earlier church. It has three naves and it is the work of Juan de Hoces. Over the centuries it has acquired a mixture of architectural styles including Mudejar, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. One of its treasures is the Baroque sculpture of the Virgen de los Dolores by Hito del Castillo. The church also has sculptures by Alonso Cano and La Roldano.
