La Griega Beach is also known as Colunga Beach and it is a sandy and rocky beach which is almost half a mile long. It is situated near the River Colunga that flows around a small meander to enter the sea at the beach. It is a popular beach, especially at weekends. It is situated near the fishing port of Lastres. The beach is famous for its dinosaur footprints which can be seen on the south-eastern side. Lastres is a small resort with steep streets.
