Plaza de Catalunya is the site of a fascinating collection of artistic stone reliefs that illustrate the history of Catalonia. Starting from the prehistoric era, the pictures depict the discovery of fire, the making of pottery and the building of dolmens. Historic periods are covered including the Bronze Age, the Roman period and the Visigothic. Important historical events such as the Battle of Moret, Conquering Valencia and the Treaty of the Pyrennes are also illustrated.
