Las Palmas Desert Nature Park is a beautiful area with walking trails that offer stunning views of the coastline and sea. The highest point is El Bartolo which is 729 metres above sea level. This protected area is composed of woodlands, ravines and rocks. It is known for its flowers and springs. The Barefoot Carmelite monks built a retreat here in the 17th Century. The Information Cente has details of several walking routes.
