Laujar de Andarax is an attractive, quiet village in Las Alpujarras. There is an 18th Century Town Hall with three tiers of arches and a belfry. Nearby is the 17th Century church with its Mudejar type tower, and inside is an ornate retablo. Near the River Andarax is a picnic area and from here you can walk through forests of birch and pine to the river`s source.
