The Lucentum Archaeological Site is one of the largest archaeological sites in this part of Spain. The remains are the site of a Roman city which was built on an earlier Iberian settlement. It dates back several centuries BC and is a designated Historic Monument. About a quarter of this large site was excavated in the 18th Century and it is possible to see the layout of the streets and buildings. The site can be visited on foot.
