The Majuelo Park contains beautiful, botanical gardens with many kinds of exotic trees, shrubs and plants. Live concerts are also held here and there are are workshops and a bar. In the centre of the park is an excavated area revealing the remains of a Phoenician and Roman factory for salting fish. The remains include buildings, salt pans and water channels. In ancient times, the town was known for its garum, a kind of fish paste.
