The Monasterio de Santa Maria La Real is a Romanesque Gothic monastery built in the 12th and 13th centuries. The building has recently been restored and it is known for the impressive capitals on its columns. Also of interest are the attractive cloisters and chapterhouse. In the monastery is a museum with models of local Romanesque churches. The museum also offers guided visits several times a day.
