Only the church remains of the Benedictine Monastery of Sant Pere which was founded in AD 977 and became extremely powerful in the 12th and 13th centuries. The facade has a large window flanked by lions and on the opposite side is an ape and a snake. Inside are abbots` tombs and an ambulatory used by medieval pilgrims. On the capitals of the columns are engravings of biblical scenes, plants and animals.
