The Dominican Monastery of Santo Tomas was founded in the 15th Century by the Catholic Monarchs, Fernando and Isabel. Three decorated cloisters lead to the single nave church with its magnificent altarpiece by Pedro de Berruguete. In the church is the tomb of the monarchs` only son Don Juan who died at the age of 19. It is the work of Italian Domenico Fancelli. Also of interest are the 15th Century Gothic choir stalls.
